Why am I starting Only Fooding??
Well, because I believe in sharing. I wouldn’t know even a fraction of the recipes or things I know if some good people out there had not shared their knowledge with me. I also believe this life is a journey where the only way you grow and move forward is through learning. You have to keep learning about the things you love, about the things you need and also a tad bit of what’s happening around you! And if you love food as much as I do, learning new recipes and techniques are going to top the list of things you need to learn. I also want to inspire people to cook more, eat healthier, share your meals with your family; there on the dinner table is where great conversations can happen. I want to bring those amazing moments back to our lives, delicious food can do wonders. I know it gets hard at times with the kind of schedules we have but with a little bit of hard work and a little help from each other we can achieve those beautiful moments of satisfaction and happiness. So I thought of creating a place where I could share my recipes with all you lovely people and create a platform for you guys to share your recipes too.
We all have these recipes that we can share, it might be the sort of recipe that gets added to the regulars of someone, and you might find something you fall in love with too! When you share your recipes here you are inspiring lot of others to cook. I learn, I share, you learn you share and someone learns from you! It’s a great circle to create. So come lets SHARE! Let’s get Fooding!
This is where you can share your recipe!
About Sana Sayyed
Ah! That was a long thing you read up there, so kudos to you if you are still reading! I already love you and I am very glad you are here! I am Sana Sayyed the founding editor of OnlyFooding. I am a law graduate from Mumbai, a complete foodie (no degrees there but if they had any degrees in being a foodie, I’d probably have a PhD.) and someone who absolutely loves to cook. I come from a to-the-core Indian family and that’s why I always say that my love for food is almost natural. When you grow up to delicious aromas everyday it’s hard to not be a foodie! As a little girl I was always troubling my mom in the kitchen and would more than often be thrown out because I have two more sisters and if I were allowed they would have to be allowed too! And then there wouldn’t be any cooking happening! So I took to cooking in our garden or on the terrace or at a friend’s place. Although initially all the recipes were copied from my mother, now my recipes come from my own experiments which are influenced from some cookbooks, television shows and some other blogs along with my own knowledge of food.
I would call my style of cooking mostly fusion because I don’t stick to any one cuisine, rather I mix the ideas from a lot of them. Yet I definitely believe some recipes should be left intact as they taste best in their original form. The recipes on Only Fooding are given in the simplest possible way, in which if any of you lovely people have any query, I shall be glad to help. Moreover, suggestions are most welcome, after all that’s how we can learn better!
