    This recipe for chicken kaandi kebab is the perfect Mumbai street style one, all those Mohammed Ali road memories will come back to you as soon as you pop one into your mouth. This ‘chatpata theekha’ chicken kaandi is a perfect starter for any occasion! Try it to find out for yourself.

    Soak bamboo skewers in water so that they don't burn when you fry chicken placed in them. (This is an essential step. Do not miss. Skewers need to be soaked for 2 hours atleast.)

    Cut onion and capsicum into cubes.

    Marinate chicken, onion and capsicum using all the ingredients except oil. Leave to marinate for atleast 2 hours.

    Place the chicken, capsicum and onion in the skewers alternately.

    Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan and fry chicken placed in skewers until the chicken is completely cooked.

    Serve hot sprinkled with a nice amount of chaat masala along with sliced onion and a generous squeeze of lemon and pudina chutney.
